Wednesday

A few weeks ago, my mother, her partner Dudley, and I had the pleasure of giving the international press a tour of Charleville Castle. They were visiting as part of the marketing campaign for season two of Wednesday. Which I’m pleased to announce officially, some of which was filmed at the castle.

One standout story we shared with them was about a wedding elopement ceremony that had been booked a year before the production team reserved the castle. The Wednesday crew were more than willing to collaborate with us to ensure the couple could still go ahead with their plans. While the Gallery was in use for filming, the couple was given the rare opportunity to hold their ceremony in the Library.

After the ceremony, we led them out through the main hallway, beautifully set dressed for Wednesday, with members of the cast and crew present. We all gave the newly-weds a round of applause. They were a goth couple, so I can only imagine how it must have felt, ‘like winning the lottery’, to have a Tim Burton production celebrating their marriage.
